St. Louis, MO – The holidays can be a difficult time for the more than 10,000 children, teens and families in our area that receive assistance from Youth in Need. Lombardo Homes is pleased to pledge their support to Youth in Need through their Holiday Drive, running through New Year’s Day.
The drive will collect educational items for the many programs provided by Youth in Need including Head Start, the Youth Emergency Shelter, and the Transitional Living Program serving those aged 18 – 21. Some of the needed items include books, flashcards, puzzles, games, calculaters and sports equipment. Drop off locations include all Lombardo Homes display homes, Lombardo Homes St. Louis’ offices and Doran Fitness.
Lombardo Homes prides itself in providing educational opportunities in the communities it serves. The Michigan-based homebuilder recently announced their expansion into the St. Louis market and plan to develop seven to eight communities in St. Louis and St. Charles counties.
“We’re excited to be expanding the Lombardo Homes name into the St. Louis area,” says Mike Van Pamel, President, Lombardo Homes St. Louis. “We’ve brought on some talented staff; I’m impressed with our team.”
New hires include:
· Jackie Needham, Director of Purchasing, Estimating and Architecture - Needham brings more than 26 years of experience to the position and will be responsible for architectural designs, managing purchasing and estimating budgets and systems negotiations with sub-contractors and vendors as well as coordinating with construction managers. Needham has previous experience with local homebuilders.
· Skip Stone, Director of Land Acquisition and Development - Stone brings more than 14 years of experience to his position with Lombardo, where he will be responsible for identifying and acquiring developed real estate for immediate construction as well as undeveloped parcels for future needs. Prior to joining Lombardo Homes, Stone served as the Vice President of Land Development for McBride and Sons as well as a consultant in both engineering and real estate development.
· Dan Licari, Construction Manager - Licari will oversee all aspects of vertical construction, quality assessment and customer service as Construction Manager, he has more than 11 years of experience and previously served as Construction Manager with PulteGroup.
· Addie Peterson, Residential Estimator - Peterson possesses more than eight years of experience and will be responsible for various aspects of estimating and systems management as well as assisting the Director of Purchasing.
· Bill Wannstedt, Sales Manager -Wannstedt will oversee the sales for Lombardo Homes’ luxury home series in western St. Charles County. He brings more than 25 years of experience to the position, having served previously as VP of Operations for local homebuilder, Pulte Homes as well as a past President of the Southwest Illinois HBA.
· Dave Haverstick, Field Manager – Haverstick brings more than 20 years of experience in construction to Lombardo Homes and will serve as the Field Manager, overseeing all aspects of home construction.
